Lesbians who are struggling with complicated feelings about men are good and important, lesbians who internalized the societal message that a woman’s value is determined by how attractive she is to men are good and important, lesbians who feel insecure because they still care about what men think of them are good and important, lesbians who worry that they’re not “real” lesbians because they’re dealing with the effects of male violence and heterosexism are good and important. It’s okay to have these feelings, you’re growing and healing, and it will get easier, I promise. Lots of lesbians have struggled with these issues, you’re not alone.
